Use Directions
- Towel or blow dry your hair, or
allow it to air dry completely. Use Toppik only on dry hair.
- Hold the Toppik container in one hand 2-3 inches above the area to be thickened. For targeting
small spots, you may bring the Toppik container right up to the
area.
- Shake Toppik liberally, over the
desired areas with the bottle opening facing completely
downward. Don't worry about any Toppik fibers falling into
surrounding hair, because they will simply disappear.
- If you can not see your
back-of-the-head area in the mirror during application, use your
other hand to guide you to the areas to be enhanced. If
necessary, apply Toppik with your head down, and look in the
mirror afterwards. Fill in further as needed. You will soon
learn to apply Toppik effectively with only an occasional glance
at the mirror or without mirror at all.
- In frontal areas, spread your
thumb and forefinger and place your hand on top of the forehead
below the hairline to keep stray Toppik fibers from falling to
forehead and eyes.
- Pat your hair to
disperse fibers throughout the area. Use an open, plastic,
non-bristle brush or any comb to style your hair as you wish. You will
notice that your hair is much easier to style with the added
bulk of the Toppik fibers.
- If coverage is not complete, add more Toppik and pat or
brush until your hair looks thick and full.
- For best results, lightly apply Toppik FiberHold Spray to
lock the fibers into place.
- Close the container and store away from moisture when not in
use.
Toppik Tips
and Questions
Question: I
really want to order Toppik, but can't find the right color. Do
you have any ideas? Answer:
Many people's hair contains multiple shades of
color like those with "salt and pepper" hair. If you fit into
this category, try combining two different shades of Toppik for
a more customized match. Simply apply the lighter color first,
then follow with the darker one. You'll be amazed at the
results.
Question: I
ordered
a Toppik
giant size to refill the smaller bottles
(easier to apply). I noticed that
Toppik bottle
was only three quarters full
when I lifted off the top. Is this the way it is supposed to be?
Answer:
None of the sizes are filed to the top. We don’t
fill the bottles by volume; the bottles are
filled by weight: 10.3 grams, 25 grams and 50
grams respectively for regular, large and giant
sizes. The bottles are larger than the grams
contained. So there will always be space inside
the bottle. They are all measured when filled
and have the correct amount of grams in each
bottle – some even overfilled but never under
filled.
Question: The
last couple of times I ordered Toppik (Giant)
the bottom one inch of the product was made of
clumpy strands (not loose fibers). These clumpy
stuff is unusable. What happened?
Answer: It is
best to store Toppik fibers in a dry and cool area.
The fibers will get damp and clumpy if it
is kept somewhere humid, especially if it’s
stored in a humid area over time after opened.
